…And that’s a wrap! The IGPP Neurodiversity at Work Conference 2026
On 20 May, HATCHED sponsored the IGPP National Neurodiversity At Work Conference 2026.
“I honestly had so much fun speaking at the IGPP Neurodiversity at Work Conference yesterday.
I still can't believe I got to share a stage with legends like Charlie Hart, Fiona Barrett FIEP and Hayley Brackley These guys have paved the way for all of us. The OGs of neurodiversity education. Ryan Hoare was both hilarious and very clever, in the way only ADHDers can be, (and is doing incredible things unravelling the tangle that is reasonable adjustments). Lucy Hobbs needs no further introduction. Another OG. Her deconstruction of labels was amazing, but realising that Lucy from Peanuts is ND will stay with me forever. Sammi Ford made me laugh and cry with her talk about Elvis (that wasn't the topic). Danny Trigg and Sarah Castor-Perry gave me hope that we will one day change the world. Jade Fuller of Ambitious about Autism and Craig Dutton reminded me that there is still plenty for me to learn and that I should get off my arse about using AI. 😬 Thank you to Dr Tony Malone for excellent MCing, even with the wrong glasses and to Sarah Nunziata ACC for taking pics for me. 🥰
I want to do it again. But only after I have had a bit of a lie down in a quiet room. (And stopped over-thinking about whether I have failed to mention someone amazing, because of my ADHD memory.)”

Event Overview
Are you ready to embrace neurodiversity in your organisation?
In the UK, it is estimated that 1 in 7 people are neurodivergent, yet many still face substantial challenges in the workplace. Recent employment figures reveal a worrying disparity, with only 31% of autistic individuals in employment compared to 54.7% of all disabled people. This gap highlights the urgent need for inclusive workplace practices that support the diverse needs of neurodivergent individuals.
Despite growing awareness, misconceptions and outdated stereotypes about neurodiversity persist in many organisational policies, meaning businesses continue to miss out on the unique strengths, talents, and perspectives of a neurodiverse workforce.
The Institute of Government & Public Policy has earned a reputation for delivering insightful and thought-provoking Diversity, Equity and Inclusion conferences and training. Building on previous neurodiversity inclusion events across London, Manchester, and Northern Ireland, the programme for The National Neurodiversity At Work Conference 2026 brings together thought leaders, advocates, and practitioners to challenge negative narratives, share lived experiences and explore practical solutions for advancing neuroinclusion. From improving access to assessments and supporting neurodivergent leaders to fostering intersectional understanding and implementing inclusive communication strategies, this event will equip you with the tools to create a truly neuroinclusive environment.
