For Coaches : March ‘26 Webinar [EMCC Neurodiversity SIG]

SIG Lead Coordinators Helena Territt and Rachel Westerbeek

EMCC Neurodiversity SIG

UPCOMING WEBINAR

The Practicalities and Relational Context of Neuro-affirmative Coaching

“Within the EMCC UK Neurodiversity SIG, we are hearing that harm is being done to coaching clients, by coaches who are applying neurotypical expectations or standards rather than working with an individual’s own, possibly quite different, experience of the world.

Helena will briefly share her personal experience of living and coaching with undiagnosed AuDHD and then facilitate an engaging discussion around the practical and relational aspects of coaching neurodivergent clients. The session will take a blended approach, sharing some elements of specialist expertise to help frame the discussion, as well as some time for peer discussion or self-reflection.

  • Introduction to types of neurodiversity, tricky terminology, and the benefits of cognitive difference.

  • Differing viewpoints on neurodiversity: what makes a competent ND coach. What to watch out for- when to consider referring, and the role of supervision.

  • Mental Health awareness.

  • Coaching challenges, tips on coaching clients with ADHD, autism, and other executive function differences.

This event will likely involve a medium level of (optional) participation, using interactive tools such as breakout rooms or polls.”
