MANAGING NEUR0DIVERSE TEAMS
The half-day management workshop for unleashing the potential of your neurodiverse team. Practical tools for people-leaders who want to get the best from every thinking style, and build the psychological safety in which it can thrive.
MOST WORKPLACES ARE BUILT FOR ONE KIND OF BRAIN
Between 10% and 20% of any workforce is probably neurodivergent, often in fields such as IT, science, academia, and the creative arts, unusual brilliance comes with similarly unusual ways of thinking and performing. Yet most workplaces are designed for getting things done in one pedestrian and predictable way, so a significant proportion of talented employees are set up to underperform.
Maximising Impact equips people-leaders to change that. It is not a legal briefing or an HR compliance course; it is a workshop about the day-to-day craft of managing people whose brains work differently, focused on the two skills that drive real cultural change: curiosity and listening.
WHO IT'S FOR
Maximising Impact is for managers and people-leaders responsible for neurodiverse team members. It's for you if:
- You manage people whose brains work differently, and you want to get the best from them.
- You want practical, day-to-day tools, not a legal briefing or a compliance course.
- You want to build the psychological safety in which every thinking style can thrive.
No prior knowledge is assumed. The workshop deliberately excludes recruitment, onboarding and the detail of the Equality Act 2010, which typically sit with HR; an overview and further links are in the guide.
WORKSHOP CONTENT
A half-day, experiential workshop covering six core areas:
Moving beyond the deficit model to a strength-based, context-dependent view of cognitive difference.
The commercial case: diversity of thought, innovation, talent retention and engagement.
Building the habit of curiosity and non-judgement.
Identifying and deploying individual strengths, rather than managing to a generalist norm.
Creating the conditions in which people feel safe to contribute and disclose.
Practical, low-cost adjustments that benefit neurodivergent employees and the wider workforce alike.
Every participant receives the Maximising Impact guide, with two-minute takeaways, templates, a glossary and links for continued learning, so they can engage fully without needing to take notes.
WHAT MANAGERS WILL COME AWAY WITH
- Feel better equipped to support their neurodivergent team members.
- Understand how to get the most from their team, on behalf of the business.
